A Pheasant Surprise
It’s not everyday that you get an opportunity to shoot a pheasant with a 35mm Nikon, let alone three at once, but that’s exactly what happened when we went to visit Tisha’s family for Thanksgiving. I heard some strange sounds outside our window one morning and were shocked to see three pheasants perched in the crabapple tree outside! I grabbed the camera and slapped on the zoom lens to get some great shots in what became an incredible photo opportunity. Among the birds perched in the tree were a couple other songbirds and a Northern Flicker, decked in beautiful orange plumage. The snow and ripe crabapples set a perfect background for the shots I got of these amazing birds!
